Cyber Sciences Modbus RS485 2-wire to 4-wire converter
Looking for a reliable solution to connect 2-wire Modbus RS485 networks (or individual devices) to 4-wire? In 2004, Schneider Electric asked Cyber Sciences to develop the CNV-100 for this purpose. Thousands of these devices have been shipped to ensure interoperability of Schneider Electric products, such as PowerLogic/ION meters, Sepam relays and Masterpact/Powerpact/Compact-NS breakers with Micrologic trip units. The CNV-100 supports baud rates of 9600, 19.2k and 38.4k bps and requires NO configuration. It is compatible with any RS485 device with Modbus protocol (or any other ASCII-based protocol).
Attached is a white paper (Tech Note TN-106) which illustrates many possible system architectures.
The CNV-100 is stocked in large quantities in Victoria and can be ordered by =S= countries and partners in the same way as other PowerLogic/ION products.
Please contact Cyber Sciences or reply to this post if we can help answer any questions. (And please excuse the self-promotion! Since the CNV-100 is stocked by =S= I hope it is helpful.)
