AccuSine PCS+: The Function of J7 of the Control Board

Hi everyone,

According to Enclosed 380-480V 300A Wiring Diagram, pin 1 and pin 5 of J7 are used to connect to an external fan. But i can't find any information (about function or output voltages and currents) related to J7 in The User Manual.

Could you give me some information about the function of J7 of the Control Board of AccuSine PCS+?

Thank you for your supports.

Best Regards,

Nguyen

@NguyenMon

Hi

The active filter consists of two sections, a power section and a control section. The power section dissipates a significant amount of power, which must be evacuated to the outside of the enclosure. It is isolated by IP54 protections from the control section within the chassis. The chassis has a cooling fan to provide adequate airflow. Air inlets, outlets, and ductwork must be provided in the enclosure with the appropriate degree of protection required. The airflow for 300A should be  1900m3/h.

The control section also has a fan for its cooling needs. It requires 200 m3/h  of air meeting Pollution Degree 2, i.e., does not contain conductive particles, significant amounts of dust or corrosive or otherwise harmful gases.

The function of the J7 in the control as is to control the enclosure fan.The enclosure fan is much less powerful than the heatsink fan. Based on the temperature changes inside the enclosure , this  fan get signal from the control card and it get turn on and off.

Fan Voltage--24V DC.

Power-4.7W Approximately

Current - 0.2A

Hi @NguyenMon

First i need to inform you, this  terminal block J7 is included on the control board  connections , if your panel is compliance with IP54  or it included on the control for connections to the auto transformer side of the enclosure for units that include an auto transformer.

To control the enclosure fan, impeller  in both  forward, and  reverse direction, we use two different  signals, they are brought out to this terminal block, respectively Pin. 3 and Pin-4, as well as the +25V Pin.1   and ground at Pin 2. A feedback signal, DSP_AUTO_XFMR_OK, also comes from this connector at Pin 6, and is connected to a thermal switch in the auto transformer that indicates that it is below its maximum temperature. Pin 5 which ensure the Fan status.  the signal is +25V when the auto transformer temperature is OK and unconnected otherwise. This signal is divided down and passed through a buffer with hysteresis before being passed to the main DSP.

Hi @Arunprasad

Thank you very much for your support. Your answer helps me a lot. One thing could you tell me more detail about the rest pins of J7 (pin 2, pin 3, pin 4, pin 6) ? Do pin 2 and pin 3 have the same function as pin 1, and pin 4 and pin 6 as pin 5?

Please tell me if i'm wrong.

BR,

Nguyen
