Cause
The cause is unknown, but this issue has been observed on multiple occasions with fresh installs on Lonmaker 3.1 with Visio 2002, on Dell Latitude E600's & E610s with Windows XP
Update: It seems to be the Bluetooth on these computers that causes this behavior.
Resolution
Uninstalling Lonmaker 3.1 and reinstalling has proven to fix this issue on multiple occasions. If the uninstall and reinstall does not fix the issue please contact Echelon for further product support at lonsupport@echelon.com.
Update: Before uninstalling LonMaker, try to disable the Bluetooth in BIOS and uninstall the Bluetooth software.
