SHO2 wrong wiring diagram

Hi,

We recently installed the new SHO2 RH H type (10K T3 thermistor) outdoor temperature and humidity sensor. We noticed that the wiring instructions are slightly incorrect; Terminal 4 needs a common connection. Please see the attached picture for reference.

Additionally, it’s difficult to understand the terminal numbers on the sensor, and the dip switches are so small that they are hard to see and switch, especially when standing on a ladder.

The diagram is correct, the voltage outputs should be referenced to pin 2 and not 4.

I can confirm that the wiring diagram is not correct.

The diagram that's within the sensor's enclosure is correct, but the diagram on the paperwork is not

Pic of the diagram on the sensor. which is different to the paperwork

Hello,

Can you confirm the full model number you are referring to. The SHO2 has models with temperature transmitter or passive RTD/ thermistor option. In the install there are two diagrams for wiring one for thermistor and one for transmitter. The one shown on the product refers to the RTD or Thermistor output.

As @Girish asked above, more information about the actual device.

A picture of the side of the sensor showing all product info will do.

Have you been in contact with the support about this issue?

Hey Girish,

The model in question is SHO2XA2H Outdoor humidity sensor, 2% RH, 10K T3 thermistor.

To clarify, the paperwork is incorrect. As shown in the picture below, the sensor diagram correctly indicates terminal 4 as Thermistor Out, whereas the paperwork incorrectly shows terminal 4 as open.

My installer couldn't work it out (via the paperwork), and the only answer I had was "it's not correct, use the diagram with the sensor"

@nigel_greenwave are you aware that the picture of the paper says Voltage mode, but the red arrow in the picture of t a device does come from the current connections?

Did they use Voltage or Current connections?

Sorry arrow should be from the voltage side because that is what we used.
My question is, why does Terminal 4 have no connection when it should be Thermistor Out?
I'm I missing something here?

Can not say for sure for this model, but some of the sensors may have two different thermistors, there you select which one to use by the terminal to use.

One of the datasheet I found does say:

Temp. sensing element** 10K T3 thermistor, 1000 PT RTD
