SE8350U0B relinquish control

I just recently installed four new DX air handlers with SE8350U0B BACnet t'stats.

The T'stats are set for

AV:52 # of pipes = 2-pipe,

MV:15 SOO = cool only

MV:81 control Type = ON/Off

MV:96 UO9 = Relay RC

I'm using BASview3 as the front end just basically for viewing the points.

Everything went great, 'cept for one small problem.

I didn't take away modification permissions for some of the points and during commissioning and my shift engineers were turning the BO:09 output on & off for the refrigeration mechanics to start and stop the compressors

On one of the units BO:09 will not return back to auto mode. It will stay in whatever mode it was left in regardless of the operating mode (MV:16) of the unit.

I've powered down the T'stat to no avail.

Any thoughts on how I would relinquish control of this point?

Hello, a few things to look at:

The SE83 configuration (AV52, MV15, ...) you mentioned are good for the application.

Parameters must be set on the SE83 HMI or at "Relinquish Default" via BACnet, so the values are saved in EEPROM (kept after a power-cycle).  [Writing to Priorities 1,2 or 3 will also save to EEPROM but will prevent change at SE83 HMI configuration menus.]

! Writes to BACnet Priorities 4-16 will be lost after a power-cycle) !

BACnet Integration Guide :

https://ecoxpert.se.com/search?documentUUID=053ba32c-953c-4783-aa55-7bb26b26a507&title=SpaceLogic%20...

Based on above configurations, the output is indeed UO9 (24 Vac On/Off (Binary)) don't set it for "Relay RC" leave it to default "Binary" (MV96=2).

Ensure the BAS is not writing on UO9 Binary (BO93), from point list nor graphic page, you can easily tell by looking at SE83 "Test outputs" page, if the value is "Red" it is forced via BACnet.

I am not familiar with "BASview3" so I can't help on how to "relinquish control of this point".

FYI: if you would like to release all writes, even the ones written in EEPROM  at Priorities 1,2 or 3,  you could do a "Erase all" in the SE83 page "9/9 Reinitialization", last page of "Configuration" menu.
