Hello,

M580 networking is configured using DTM configuration (open DTM Browser) not the Communication-Networks (this is for M340).

You can use the IO-scanning as shown in the video, or use READ_VAR/WRITE_VAR:

IO-Scannin is  Limited to Modbus functions 3&16 (read/write %MW or 4xxxxx references)

Read_VAR/WRITE_VAR support more Modbus functions (see manual or help in Unity/ECE)

I have used the READ_VAR & WRITE_VAR Blocks form M580, but i amn`t able to Read or Write to the slave, is there a Problem with my Setup ?

Remove (temporarily) the WRITE_VAR, as it's not configured properly, and set the timeout value in CONTROL[2] to 10. Timeout of 0 will "hang" the function when something is wrong.

In that case you should see CONTROL[0] changing and CONTROL[1] should become 0.

I'm not familiar with the Modbus SLAVE program, but can you try to set the Modbus Slave ID to 255?

Hi ,

I found the issue, Actually Slave ID, needs to be Written beside the Address, but this wasn`t mentioned either in the Help - Documents for ADDMX or the Videos.

After Adding Slave ID, it started Reading and Writing
