Establish TCP/IP Slave & Channel configuration is possible in PLC TM251MESE Ethernet Port-1

We have TH110 temp monitor 80 devices & this is communicating with ACTI9 A9XMWD100 ‘2’ device. (40 TH110 with 1st Acti9 & 40TH110 with 2nd Acti9)

Next, ACTI9 A9XMWD100 ‘2’ devices are connected to TM251MESE PLC Ethernet PORT-1.

Here the question is M251MESE Ethernet Port -1 (having default 2 ports) will support for Generic Modbus slave to configure Modbus TCP Slave & Channel configuration.

Attached hand marked System architecture for reference.

Motto: Get the TH110 devices temperature values in M251 PLC & same to be transfer through Modbus RTU (RS 485) communication to Scada PLC.

Hello,

Yes this should be possible, but I´m not sure if Ethernet 1 could also act as Modbus Client.

So far I understand Ethernet 2 is for the field devices and Ehternet 1 is for laptop or SCADA.

You could use a TM4ES4 as switch.

But you need to map all needed values Manual from the Modbus Client Site (Modbus TCP) to the Mobdus Server Site (Modbus RTU) which goes to the SCADA PLC.

Please check if it is no problem that the RS485 on the TM251 is not isolated in you application.

Yes we need additional ethernet switch else we can not comply our requirement.

Ethernet-1 (2 ports) will not support for TCP Slave devices But the port itself act as a Slave.

Many Thanks,

Hi,

we are unable to communicate 2 power Tag device which is having Modbus TCP/IP communication with using M251 PLC, used un managed Ethernet switch as per the suggestion, below is the sample SA.

Attached PLC program for your reference & necessary solution.
