Check of ATV Communication Interfaces

Hello everyone,

I want to check the functionality of various ATV interfaces such as Profinet, Profibus or EtherCat using a PLC a HMI and gateways to convert Modbus-RTU to these protocolls. But now the problem is that these gateways can only convert Modbus-RTU Slave to e.g. Profinet Slave or EtherCat Slave, but needed is the Master variant to connect ATVs.. does anyone know why this is or has an other idea to easily check the communication functionality of ATVs?

Hi, 

Please declare more in detail your needs. I did not understand your problem at the moment. With every ATV communication card the drive act as Server (Slave). That is for such a device which act as part of a bigger machine in my opinion the standard. I did not see any need that the drive need to be a client (Master).
