Advantys configuration download from control expert

Is it possible to configure all DI,DO,AI and AO modules of advantys make in control expert software through DTM library? and download that configuration without using advantys software?

You can load data to the device through the DTM tool using Control Expert but any configuration of the I/O modules has to be performed in Advantys Configuration Software

In fact, the DTM Browser within Ecostruxure Control Expert is used to configure all of the DI, DO, AI, and AO modules of the Modicon STB (Advantys). The Advantys Configuration Software after installation comes with the DTM library and still needs to be invoked via the DTM Browser of the EcoStruxure Control Expert in order to configure and create all variables properly.

If you dont need any "special" configuration of your IOs, you dont even need to care about Advantys or DTM, STB havs a auto configure feature which makes your island just work basically without doing anything. If you need symbolic names for your IOs there are other ways to accomplish that too, for example create a normal structure which looks like your island which can then be mapped against the data structure created by the DTM browser using the EXTRACT FB the STB as a generic Modbus  device. You now have full freedom of your island and can update symbolic names without having to stop and download the project all the time 🙂
