Remove alarm from alarm summary when taking point out of service

When taking a GeoSCADA point that is in the alarm state out of service, the point remains in the alarm summary. It would be nice to have an option where alarms clear from the alarm summary if they are not in service, as the alarm state is not reliable at that point. In our system, we only allow alarms to be disabled for 24 hours maximum, so disabling the alarms is not a viable option for us.

The 'Remove Alarm' function will remove the alarm from the alarm list. The 'Remove Alarm' option is found by right clicking on the point in the database tree

@GeoffChisholm We do not allow the 'Remove Alarm' function globally in our system as there is no method to prevent this action for points that are in service. It is a high risk, high consequence action from our point of view. In the event we did allow it, I do not see a separate security checkbox in the point permissions for 'Remove Alarm' to limit this action to system administrators. 

Having said all that, I still believe that points that are out of service do not belong in the active alarm summary.

FYI, there is a "Remove Alarms" security permission, see Remove Alarms in the help. It is often disabled, which is likely why you can't see it.

@AndrewScott You are correct, thank you for letting me know. I assumed the security permission checkbox would be greyed out but it actually gets removed altogether.
