The three different built-in locales are English (United Kingdom), English (United States) and English (Australia). These three locales have been created to allow for the different terminology and spelling used in these three markets.

The table below provides a summary of the differences between the locales.

Locale	Terminology	Spelling	Default Time Format
English (United Kingdom)	Handdress (for controls on internal points) Accept (for alarms)	UK spelling eg. colour, analogue	dd/MM/yyyy HH:mm:ss.SSS
English (United States)	Hand Control (for controls on internal points) Acknowledge (for alarms)	US spelling eg. color, analog	M/d/yyyy hh:mm:ss.SSS a
English (Australia)	Hand Control (for controls on internal points) Acknowledge (for alarms)	Combination eg. colour, analog	d/M/yyyy hh:mm:ss.SSS a

There is no fundamental difference in the behavior of the product when using each of these locales except for the differences in the language spelling and terminology as described in the table above.

Note that new users in the system will have a default locale of English (United States).
