Control Microsystems has announced the release of ClearSCADA 2009 Edition, the newest version of our successful SCADA Host software.

ClearSCADA 2009 R1 is a major version release, containing numerous major features and product enhancements.

Product Changes

  • 64-Bit Operating Systems - Support for 64-bit operating systems allows customers to utilize the latest and most powerful server hardware for their critical infrastructure.

  • Integrated Kepware OPC Drivers - Integrated suite of Kepware OPC drivers boosts connectivity with more third party devices.

  • .Net API - New .Net API allows external programs like Visual Studio 2005 to connect to the ClearSCADA server and perform actions including monitoring, control or configuration of the ClearSCADA database.

  • Direct SMS Driver - Direct SMS driver (with TAP and UCP service) allows ClearSCADA to send SMS messages from a GSM modem directly to mobile phones without connecting to a third party provider.

  • E-Series SCADAPack Configuration Download - Configuration download from ClearSCADA is now supported for all E-Series SCADAPacks including SCADAPack 350E/357E.

  • Driver Development Kit (DDK) - While hundreds of RTU types are already supported by ClearSCADA's native drivers and integrated OPC drivers, a ClearSCADA Driver Development Kit (DDK) provides a .NET 2.0 Assembly for creating custom communication drivers in any .Net 2.0 compliant language.

  • View Reports from WebX - ClearSCADA now permits Crystal Reports to be viewed through the WebX client.

  • DMZ Permanent Standby Server - A new DMZ Permanent Standby Server designed to be placed outside corporate firewalls provides a read-only access to the server while improving corporate security.

  • Dynamic Metadata - ClearSCADA has been enhanced to allow custom database fields to be added dynamically so that the server no longer needs to be restarted after adding or modifying metadata.

  • Alarm Limit Time Profiles - Alarm limit time profiles allow analog setpoint levels to vary over the course of a day to account for conditions at the site.

  • CFX Export - EFM data gathered from flow computers running RealFLO may be exported from ClearSCADA in CFX format for further analysis by applications such as Flow-Cal.

  • SQL Extensions - ClearSCADA's existing SQL functionality has been enhanced with extensions to improve functionality, performance and ease of use.

Please read the detailed Release Notes for a complete list of changes made in this version of ClearSCADA.
