iEM3155/iEM3255 to EGX300

Hi Team,

A couple of questions on value display of iEM3155 and iEM3255 on EGX300.The idea is for solar monitoring.

1)These values are part of the "Meter Data" modbus registers of iEM3x55.

  • Total Active Energy Export
  • Total Active Energy Import
  • Total Reactive Energy Export
  • Total Reactive Energy Import

Can these values be seen in the EGX300 screen? If so, are they as real time data and/or as logged data?

2)The iEM3000 can be set to single phase multi-line mode, which allows it to meter a one-phase four wire system. So for the 4 values above, can they be interrogated by the EGX300 to display the kwh from each load 1, 2 & 3?

Any comments on these would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Evonne Yin

Hi Evonne!

It's very easy with this meters. You can already do this by doing a custom device type. Then you can display on your EGX300 screen each Phase as a different meter. We already do this pretty often to do sub-metering where we use each phase as a single single phased meter.

If you're unsure on how to do it, you can go to this post: .

If you still have problem, don't hesitate. I can help you out.

Laurent.

Yes it could be interesting to have these data inside EGX300...

Here is what is supported today:

iEM3155

4078

iEM3255

4082

I can add the other requests to our enhancements list, but I cannot guarantee when, or if we will be able to add the EGX300.

- FYI...

Hi Evonne,

As James has shown on the screen captures above, the EGX300 supports Total Active Energy Delivered, Total Active Energy Received, Reactive Energy Delivered, and Reactive Energy Received for Real Time Readings.  It also supports these quantities for logging.

In regards to your second question, I'm not sure about adding this feature for the EGX300.  However, I am working on device support for our next product (the Com'X 510).  So, if you would like to have the single phase feature supported in this device, you should contact Joelle Key with your feature requests.  We plan on supporting this feature for the PM5350xB meters.  If the iEM3x5x meters use the same registers/settings as this device, this should not be too difficult to accommodate in future releases.  However, on the first release, the iEM3x5x meters will have support for 3 or 4 wire systems only (the same support as the EGX300 currently provides).

Thank you for your feedback.

Randi
