EGX300 and Power Over Ethernet
In one site in India, out of 20 EGX300, 3 are working using the POE and for rest, we have to use external power supply to power up the EGXs.
Is POE a standard function and if yes, what may the reason that the 17 devices require external power supply? if no, then, what may be the reason that EGX300 are working using POE itself?

Hi Gautam!
PoE will work or not depending on the ethernet switch (and overall IT equipment used). Many switch still do not support PoE. Note that you have to be careful with the EGX and PoE and external power supply. The behaviour can be problematic as described in this post: .
The Com'X is much better when using multiple power sources (as described in this post: ).
In anycase, yes PoE is a standard function in the EGX, so no way to disable it. For your 17 devices, I bet you there's some ethernet switch somewhere along the network that does not support PoE.
