Hi
Can two system on different data LAN networks "use" same gateway (Panel Server/Com´X) and the modbus slaves connected to it ?
One system Resorce Advisor is connected to port ETH 1 with it´s own LAN network and a second system Power Monitoring Expert is connected to port ETH 2 with a different LAN network.

Just need to enable modbus services on port 2 ( modbus server functionnality on port 2)

Hello @AndersDahlskog ,
The goal of separated ETH ports is to segregate downstream Modbus TCP/IP devices connected to ETH2 port from upstream communication systems connected to ETH1 port.
I'm not sure about the PAS behavior if it detects trafic on ETH2 related to the PME server polling. Normally PAS must initiate first trafic on ETH2 (because a Master is polling on ETH1). Wondering if some CyberSec rules in the PAS can have an impact.
=> Need confirmation of an expert 🙂
If your PME Server has the same IP range than ETH2 of Panel Server (PAS) and downstream devices, this should work (in theory):
In this case the PAS is no use for PME Server:

Hello,
To avoid overloading the Panel Server CPU, only temporary connections (such as viewing web pages) are validated in addition to a permanent client connection (such as PME or an SE cloud advisor).
Dual connection of two permanent upper clients as you mention is not within the framework of the possible and validated architecture and is therefore not supported

Hello
Thanks for answer, is it the same regarding Com´X210, Com´X510 ?

Hello,
What you need is the serial modbus gateway on port 2 ( enabled by Default on COMX but not on PAS in seggregated ports) and basically you are using the cloud connectivity on Port 1.
COMX/PAS will poll the devices for the data to be pushed to RA.
Only limitation is the number of devices and the capacity of the gateway to act as Modbus gateway and a cloud gateway simultaneously but It should work with PAS as working with COMX.
Without any serial modbus this is what we are doing in Asset Advisor ED with "electrical LAN " and PME on port 2 and port 1 to cloud.
PAS and COMX in seggregated modes are able to poll modbus tcp devices on both ports (ie on different LAN segment).

Hi
We have a PAS with 20 connected serial RS485 devices. Port 1 goes to an existing RA and we would like to connect a new PME system to port 2 to read the data from the same devices. I am aware of the limitations mentioned above.
Can port 2 be enabled for serial modbus gateway on PAS as defult in Com´X
Would this scenario be possible?
