In Panel Server Settings-Data Management-Alarms
Must a specific alarm (in this case a HeatTag) be activated here for a energy Management system e.g PME or other should be able to read the specific Modbus register and see the alarm in the system ?

Alarms/ events as far as I remember are related to cloud publication. Initially it was necessary to configure the alarm in order to see the alarm displayed on the EWP ( shown in PAS600 and displayed in a list on PAS800), but I remember It was changed long time ago. In regards to PME I would say the driver is getting the alarm level low medium and high from the modbus table. Alarm activation should not have any effect on PME.
HeatTag PME driver should provide the registers.
