PME VS PAS800 AND DAISY CHAIN

Hi,

a customer has no industrial network availible.

How many PAS800 is recomended to be daisy chained on only one ethernet cable? 

(Can`t find any thing in the user guides)

Primarly powertag rope wireless devices on each PAS800.

Difficult to answer !

It will depend on :

• Network performances
• ETH cables (category, grade, length between 2 Panel Server)
• Devices connected to the Panel Server (Wireless and Modbus Serial)
• suppose that the PAS600/800 has active ETH chaining (pretty sure it is not passive)
• PME Modbus requests
• other possible Modbus masters on the Network
