Maximum number of total devices supported by a PAS800

We are looking at using the PAS800 as a on-premise Energy server for commercial buidings.  The PAS800 will be connected to PowerTags in the immediate vicinty, serial meters and a number of other meters connected to PAS600 and PAS400 Gateways.  The documentation gives the device limites for each type of connection.  Is the total limit the sum of these individual limits, i.e. 20 + 32 + 128?

Device limits by connection type

Wireless Power Tags - practical limit of 20

Modbus RTU Serial meters - 32

Modbus TCP (direct TCP or using Gateways) - 128

hello @conradvr_hexeis,

PAS 2.1 rel note is providing 85 POWERTAG Energy connected to the PAS over ZIGBEE.

128 is the total number of modbsus tcp device, keep in mind that whatever connected to a child PAS it will be counted as a modbus tcp device on the "master" PAS. If you want to log locally, depending on sampling you have other limits.

Kind Regards

Thank you.  Do you have documentation on estimating the limits based on number of logs/device, log interval, and number of devices?

In a situation we have 3 meters connected to a Child PAS600.  Will configuring these meters on a PAS800 for logging be counted as 1 or 3 against the limit of 128?

Hello,

3 meters on a child PAS = 3 modbus tcp devices on the parent PAS.

I do not have any tool to estimate the size in days in PAS, maybe support or offer manager have ?

Kind Regards
