Hi
Have tried to do this according to user guide and FAQ FA295374. It will not reset and Module Status LED is not flashing when pressing IP reset pin (steady green).
Existing IP adress is good and it is possible to log in as Guest. The administrator password is lost so want to return to default user name and password.
Any other ways do a factory reset ?

Hi
I haven´t found a solution. If a factory Reset is not possible to do to retrive factory login credentials we have to recommend customer to buy a new product.

I see this topic is a couple years old, I actually ran across this because I was experiencing the same issue today and found this looking for help. As it turns out, I use the Administrator Username and the old password Gateway. This allowed me to link to the controller and complete setup. Hopefully this information will help someone else in the future.

I did face this issue however it was resolved by holding down the pin hole reset button for 10-15seconds then release. the Administrator account will be reset after reboot default password will be the MAC ID EG
0080F470B870 - all in CAPS

I could not get my EGX150 password to reset after doing a factory reset, so i came here to see if i was missing something. Turns out, the default password listed in the documentation was incorrect. User Acmoore is the only one with the right answer, the default password on my unit is Gateway!
Schnieder, please update your documentation!
If you're trying to reset the password on your EGX150 and the MAC address password is not working, try Gateway. There must be some in between models that did not get documented properly

Hello @RInouye ,
"Gateway" default password was dedicated to old Link150 FW.
Newer version with CyberSec improvements uses MAC Address as default PW. I recommend to download v5.3.3 on se.com and upgrade your Link150.

Hello @Romain_Polette
I have a link 150 on Fw5.3.3 and when I press the pin hole reset button for 10-15seconds then release the device does not appear to reset the Administrator password to the MAC (eg 0080F4AADDA0)
The link150 device does look like it is doing the factory reset (modbus status blinking red and then steady green after 10-15 sec) but I'm still not able to log in.
I know the guest password and I can see the that account is not being reset either (default guest/guest)
I'm I missing a step in the factory reset process?
kind regards
Christian

Hi @chsj ,
I think your issue must be checked by tech support because your are doing Factory Reset right. I do not know any other procedure...
If the Administrator pwd is not reset to default (MAC address for most recent FW), there is an issue with your device.
Connect your Link150 to the Link150 FW Upgrade Tool and check if your FW is confirmed as 5.3.3. Is the FW from factory ? Or did you upgrade your Link150 with the tool ? Do you remember the previous FW version ?
