Hi Dimitri,

As far as I'm aware, the iRio extension module has not been adapted. Currently, if you need to add just a couple of AI, you could use the SIM10M which supports modbus, 2xAI and 6xDI.

If you have a lot of AI that you want to deal with, then the easiest is to use an AS with the UI16module (which has 16 Universal Inputs). Then connect your Com'X200 to the AS using Modbus. I wrote an article a long time ago on how to do this. Don't hesitate if you have any question.

Note that if you have more than 16 inputs, you can add multiple UI16 (if I remember well, up to 9). The Schneider reference is of the module for your to order is SXWUI16XX10001.  Remember that you'll also need the terminal base: SXWTBIOW110001.

Here are the two articles:

Sensors through Automation Server (with EGX300 to push data to cloud)

Com'X200 and Automation Server integration (not as detailed for the AS setup piece)

Good luck!

Hi Laurent,

Thank you for all the details and for the documents.

The solution to put an AS just to extend analog inputs looks quite heavy and expensive but it seems that I have no other choice.

Thanks again.

Dimitri.

Just a note for future needs...we will be releasing the Com'X 210 and Com'X 510 in Q1 of 2015.  These new Energy Servers will be able to support Extension Modules which will plug into the side of the unit.  On the roadmap...we will see an Extension Module for additional I/O including more analog inputs.

Hey Dimitri,

Just found out of another product that could help you. I haven't tested them but ordered some to try them out.

It's a industry BU product (Modicon IO extender). They do CanBus, Modbus or Modbus TCP I/O extensions. (CanBus to work with Smartstruxure Lite, the rest for anything else!)

Here is a link:

Modicon OTB - Schneider Electric Corporate

I will update this once I have more information.

Hope it helps.
