Hi All,
From the official presentation, we know that a panel server can also be used to collect data from third-party devices. However, I could not find any detailed procedure on how to connect and map the registers. Does anyone have relevant information? Thank you

Hello,
There is a cloud based tool called Commisioning Web portal to create "models" to be loaded on the PAS using the Web Pages.
As of today only few SE Employees are having access to the tool.
Pay attention that some limitations exist with FW 1.4 and 1.5 regarding modbus communication ( Only FC03 read holding register, same endianess for all the measurements, ....)

Hello Stuart,
I remind that you are one of this only few SE Employees who have already access to this web portal (CWP) to create custom models for their countries.

Eric

Hello,
I also to add one comment about Custom model in Panel Server.
If the need is just to collect Modbus registers from downstream products in a Modbus TCP/IP client through the Panel Server (example PME used with modbus drivers for connected products), Custom models are not needed. In this case, The Panel Server just acts as a Transparent gateway (such as Link150) and will forward the Traffic (even if the product are not discovered in the Panel Server)
Custom model for Downstream product will be mandatory only if the Panel Server is used as A Local energy Server or for Schneider Electric Cloud connection,
For my two cents !

"and do not configure the devices in PAS to not replace the modbus ID by the virtual ID...."
So virtual ID should not be enabled if the panel server is used to just read holding registers from various devices ?

PAS and COMX are working in the same way regarding modbus gateway.
If there is a virtual ID matching the ID requested by the poller it will be "forwarde" to the device. If there is no Virtual ID matching, the frames should be pushed to the serial interface for the device with ID = ID requested.

Hello @Christopher.odonnell,
Are you facing issue to create the model with EPC W or adding the device in PAS ?
I guess that you want to collect data from the thermal monitoring and not use the PAS as a modbus tcp gateway ?
Kind Regards
