How much memory does an EGX300 have?

Hi, I tried finding information about memory in EGX300 and got different answers at various places. In a brochure it says 256 MB and in one of the discussions here in community it says the models manufactured after 2014 have 2Gb.

INDRAJIT SEN Sir, please share any latest document giving this info. Also, it would be great if we can get some tool/ excel sheet etc. which helps us calculate amount of data it can hold in terms of number of days. e.g. if there are 15 nos. of EM6400 meters installed with 1 EGX300 and 10 parameters are being polled every minute from each meter then how many days of data can be stored in EGX300 (before it starts over writing) in case of comm failure b/w EGX and PME Server? Thanks for your help.

Hi Atul,

You can estimate logging capacity with the information in "Interval Data Logging" of the user manual: EGX300 Ethernet Gateway - Download Schneider Electric

Also in the user manual under "Topics to Log" you'll see that, as you select topics per device, the logging intervals/days update dynamically on screen.

Finally, on the EGX, you can view Diagnostics > Statistics > File system and see how much free space is available in kB. Not all the free space is available for logging though, but it may be a helpful piece of supporting info.

The other posts are correct--EGX memory was increased to 2GB.
