Hello Evonne
How do you operate load shedding with an EGX300 ?
How do you write the modbus request ?
FYI : we must have to wait until end of Q12016 in order to get a full EGX300 replacement by the Com'X 510
(especially the HTML custom pages)
Regards
Jef

You need internal scripting or scheduler capability on Com'X to trigger Digital Outputs (plus Digital Outputs module).
EGX300 or Com'X 510 by themselves cannot do load shedding. There must be external Client to trigger the Digital Outputs.

Jef,
ABB Emax 2 trip units have load shedding capabilities in the trip unit with ability of utilizing communications (not hardwire) to feeders. Could be very interesting for similar functionality via Com'X communication.

Jonathan FYI :
In the version 2.1.7, We have introduced a Lua engine.
This engine in only used today for generating events that can be send to RSP application.
==> Thus the Lua engine is not directly available for the installer.
(the event are configured using a blockly editor that generate safe Lua script)
In the futures releases, we should improve
- The event engine in order to enable to send the event to other destination (SMTP for instance)
- The Lua engine to enable some simple control
NOTE : this is just my technical comments, if you want more information please contact mkt (James Jeanette)

Hello
This an excellent idea which can be implemented much easier in Smart Panel architecture.
