Hi,
I have a customer her in the Uk who has fitted a COMx 210 to act as gateway in a panel.
Connected to the RS485 there are 2 PM8000 meters and 5 PM5110 meters.
Within PME I add a PM8000, but the only option for comms is 'ION', and no matter what I set the meters to they will not communicate to the server.
The Pm5110 meters all work fine.
Is there anything I can do to rectify this, or do I need to suggest that the customer connects the 2 PM8000's to his Ethernet network??
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Andy

Hi Andy,
If PME will only allow ION protocol to connect to the PM8000, then they will have to connect these devices to the Ethernet network because the Com'X does not support ION protocol. It only supports Modbus Protocol,

Hello,
You can add a PM8000 to PME with another protocol than ION.
If the PM8K is connected in RS485 to the Com'X, you need to declare the ComX as a "site" under PME. Then add the PM8000 as a new "serial device on ethernet gateway site" and declare the ComX as the site.
Regards.
