We have an application where a customer wants to install the COM'X 510 inside a steel enclosure because the metering point is located in an harsh industrial environment.
Has anyone successfully used an external antenna with the COM'X 510 for WiFi communications? I imagine mounting the antenna on the outside of the box; while the COM'X 510 is inside the box.
If so, what models have been used?

Hi Eric,
I believe the attached screenshot should answer your question:
If that solution isn't suitable/fit for purpose, fit a wireless router with removable sma-type antenna, purchase an extension and fit the antenna on the outside, just pay attention to the frequency if you intend to do this. Plenty industrial grade, out of the box, 802.11 routers with antennae on flyleads on the market also.
Kind regards.
