Hi,
I recently tried to get the Com'X510 / 200 to publish via Gmail / Hotmail and it seemed to me that there is no TLS encryption implementation for the Com'X gateways, which means it can't use these extremely useful public SMTP relays.
I had to use a third party TLS certificate proxy to get it to work (effectively adds TLS encryption to the unencrypted connection that the Com'X uses), however this implementation requires a computer be running with the proxy always running, which is not always possible.
Regards,
Steven Yan

Hi,
Yes you are right, for the moment ComX only support unencrypted SMTP connection, publishes data without TLS encryption.
I tested several time com'x publication using google SMTP server "aspmx.l.google.com", it works !

Thanks Lazaro, I did try that, but I didn't use both "To" and "From" addresses as gmail (one of them was a Schneider) and so it didn't work.

Unfortunately the Com'X510 says it is successful, however no emails turn up. I think it must be hitting some filter that gmail is running and rejecting it.

Hi Steven,
We are currently implementing this feature (SMTP Publication over TLS). Bobbie Meredith can comment further as to when it will be available.
Best,
Colton

Hi Grant,
Yes, SMTP Publication (and Email on Event) will be available in v4.0 over both TLS and STARTLS.
