SEAL 1.14 Release!
We are excited to announce the release of Standard Engineering Application Library 1.14. This update focuses on implementing the first iteration for the Products layer in Design, enhancing the overall functionality and user experience. While this release brings significant updates, it continues to improve compatibility and streamline your workflow. Please check out the full release notes.
Key Highlights for SEAL 1.14:
- Library View Enhancements: The Library View now includes more informational texts, providing clearer and more detailed insights to help users select the correct device types.
Design now also adds the selected application to the devices that match the filtered device type, streamlining the design process. - Design Field Devices / Product Layer: Introduces the first iteration of SEAL Design’s ability to select field devices based on your design, including sensors, detectors, damper actuators, and valve actuators.
- Extension Functionality Update in Design: Automatic naming of extensions has been updated to align with default naming conventions, ensuring consistency and clarity.
- Hardware View Adjustment in Design: The Module column has been repositioned to make it easier to see the relationship between the channel and the module.
- Enhanced Data Type Support in SEAL Script: SEAL Script now supports int64 and int32 data types for use with IAdvanced.GetPropertyValueRecords..

Update : A 1.14.2 patch was released 2025-03-24 to address an issue where, in some cases, user-configured IO types in SEAL Design were not respected and were reset to the default configuration in the solution.
If you did installed 1.14.1, please ensure that you download and update to 1.14.2. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding.
Happy designing!
