Can you please help me to understand how do I optimize cable sizing?

Thanks for your interest in Ecodial.
The optimum sizing of conductors (cable) for a circuit can be explained by constructing a Simple Network with the "HVLV transformer as a source" and connected to a LV Switchboard. The same Switchboard is also connected a 'Passive load circuit."
[the above image shows the Simple Network, as explained above]
INPUTS:
At the 'Passive load' circuit, the LOAD and CABLE component characteristics should be provided as the "INPUT properties" to the application. These inputs are considered for sizing the 'conductors (cable) of the circuit.'
LOAD | CABLE |
|
|
OUTPUTS:
Once after calculating the network, the output of the calculations (solution) can be seen at the 'Details' section of the application, and also on the single line diagram of the network.
"Solutions" view will help us to see the sizing results on the SLD single line diagram. | After selecting the circuit component on the SLD, the "Properties" sections will also helps us to see the solutions. | After selecting the circuit component on the SLD, the "Details" sections will also helps us to see the solutions. |

Hello,
Here is also an example to see the calculation of conductor sizing for the given inputs.
This article explains the conductor sizing based on the 'Theoretical algorithm' suggested by the IEC 60364-5-52 standard. I hope, this should add further value/answer to your query.
