We have suddenly been having issues where the client software (DCE) ejects users logged on & in extreme cases reboots the DCE server. Seems to happen at the same time that disk consolidation is occuring at night. I have been asked by our VM support to advise what VM Tools are loaded on our installation. When I look at our summary page, it reads, VMWare Tools: Running (Guest managed). I'm not really sure what that means or how I can confirm what VM Ware Tools are running?

Hi Jeff,
I've seen some poor DCE performance as a result of poor disk IO. Perhaps the consolidation is "robbing" DCE of IOPS and resulting in the behaviour you're experiencing . If this sounds like a potential to you, I recommend you work with SE support to analyse IOPS. Or you could "throw" better IO performance at the DCE and see if that fixes your issue.
Cheers
Ed
P.S. may be something in these 2 that helps
