Hi Miguel, All you should need is the IP, the slave address, and the correct DDF file. Also make sure the port is correct. Of course you need to have enough licenses to be able to add a node. If you poll the registers listed in that DDF from another system on the network (same network as DCE to make sure ports are open), are you able to get values from it? What version of DCE are you using? Steve

Hi Miguel,

Can you poll registers from another system using modbus over ip? If you are using a gateway such as the ESXETG100, can the gateway poll these registers from the device?  You may want to contact your local support when you are on site testing so steps such as this can go more quickly.

Steve.

Hello,

The problem is that PM5320 has a fixed Slave Address (255)

DCE 7.2.7 doesn't allow to go further than 247 on the Slave Address for a TCP/Modbus Device.

A possible solution to integrate this device goes through the upgrade of the DCE to 7.3.1, that allows you to configure the slave address up to 255.

Regards

Hi Jose, 247 was a modbus standard and that's why 7.2.7 had that limitation. 7.3.1 does not have this limitation so if you upgrade, this will no longer be an issue. Steve.
