Is it possible to discover cisco switches and then monitoring it health (cpu utilization, network throughput utilization, temperature etc) without using Cisco UCS Manager?
If just start SNMP discovery for Cisco Catalyst 6506 - I've got dozens of temperature sensor values, fans ok/nok, voltage sensor values. But nothing like power usage or average power.

This might be an ITO related question -
IT Optimize currently supports server and blade chassis discovery, I think other items like switches are on the road map.

Hi Alex, Could you please explain what you mean? - I'm a Schneider Electric employee, so that would be fine with me. For more information about ITO, you might want to visit the following website: http://dcimsupport.apc.com/display/UAOp74/StruxureWare+Data+Center+Operation%3A+IT+Optimize

Also I want to know - is it possible to use one or more temperature sensors from Cisco Catalyst 6506 (which located near front or rear panel) as external sensors and use it for mapping on datacenter plan ?
I found only "Virtual Sensor" functionality but I cant map virtual sensor to rack for example.
How to do it correctly ?

Hi Alex,
It is currently not possible to discover network devices in DCO.
This is both for IT Optimize (IPMI, SNMP/SSH), Cisco UCS manager and DCE (here some SNMP information might be available as you experience).
For DCE you might experience that some sensors like the temperature sensors are reporting. However for those to be available in DCO they must be reporting the right sensor type. Most likely the sensors coming from the cisco switches will not be seen in DCO even when discovered in DCE due to wrong sensor type information.
We are aware and have it logged in our feature request database to both support Network device discovery in general and also the fact of having temperature sensors seen in DCE show up to be modelled in DCO.

Alex, I raised a similar post, http://dcimsupport.apc.com/questions/96043058/dce-with-cisco-energywise it seemed like a TAC Andover Continuum was needed to get the data points
