Why NBES0305 is misrecognized in NBRK0451

Hi Team,

There is a misrecognition issue about NBES0305 , pls kindly help me on this .

When NBES0305 is plugged into NBRK0451 without connecting any third-party sensor , the sensor type is recognized normally as "Voltage" . But when our customer connected NBES0305 to a third-party Voltage transformer . It's weird that the sensor type of NBES0305 in AV will change into "Door" and the "Status"  is failure .

The secondary output of the Voltage transformer is between DC 0~5 V . And I've made our customer measure the output Voltage and its value was DC 2.2 V. Then the customer had reconnected and updated the firmware of netboz to V4.5.3 . But the phenomenon still existed.

it's normal when there is no sensor connected with NBES0305:

Sensor type is changed when the third-party Voltage sensor sensor is connected :

Hi Eric,

Have you tried another sensor?

What version of botzware (firmware) was originally running on the 450?

Have you tried another 450 (if possible)?

Have you tried multiple ports on the 450?

Is it connected directly or through a sensor pod? Try connecting directly to the bot?

Is there anything else connected to the 450? If so, does disconnecting other components change the issue?

What happens if you simply connect a 1.5v battery to the cable, does it read a value or still change to a door?

Steve

Hi Steve,

Happy Christmas to you and thanks a lot for your respond.

Because there is no extra sensor or 450 on site , customer haven't tried another sensor or 450 yet .  The sensor is connected directly to 450 and I've made customer tried different ports . The firmware version is V4.5.3 , besides ,1*NBES0308 , 1*NBES0307 were connected directly to 450  , 2*AP9335TH were connected to NBPD150  and a third-party current transformer was connected to 4-20mA input port .

I will make the customer remove other sensors and connect a 1.5V battery to test it.

Thanks very much

Eric

Hi Steve,

Sorry to brother you again , regarding on this issue . Our customer has adopted the following actions.

  1. Update the Netboz firmware and client version to V4.5.3 .

  1. Replace another NBES0305 0~5V cable.
  2. Then simply connect a 1.5v battery to the cable.

But once again , it was misrecognized as a " Vibration " sensor .

At Last ,our customer replaced the 1.5V battery with the 0~5V Voltage transformer again, it's werid that this time it was misrecognized as a "Temperature  sensor" .

I guess maybe it's a bug issue about Netboz . I am considering whether I have to replace another Netboz for the customer . Could you please help me on this issue .

Thanks very much

Eric

Hi Steve,

Could you please take a look at this issue about NBES0305.

I've purchased 1*NBES0305 and tested in lab.

Netboz : NBRK0550      Firmware : V4.5.3     Sensor: NBES0305 and a 1.5V battery

Test  procedure as below:

1:Connect only NBES0305 to common sensor port1 first  . (Without battery )

Sensor type and value displayed in AV are normal.

2:Connect the 1.5V battery (Red wire + and Black wire - )

Then sensor type changed automatically

3: I tried on different port3 and port6. The error still occurs .

4:Then I downgrade the firmware of Netboz to V4.4.0 . But the phenomenon is exactly the same with above.

Any help ,  appreciated.

Eric
