Unable to Transfer values from DCE to DCO(Power Meter)

Dear All,

I have a issue one of our customer.

I added Power Meter (modbus TCP) on DCE and I am able to get all data points from device.

When I transfer it  DCO, I am not able to see all datapoints, more importantly not able to see power maeasurements.

Also, When I associate with device I don't see bar chart that I able to see on rack PDU'S

Please see below.

Customer is asking for official answer to that why we can not do it.

Best Regards,

Emre KOCA

Hi Emre,

What power meter?

What version of DDF are you using?

Can you give an example of the name of a specific data point that is failing?

Can you share the DDF?

Steve

As Victor suggested, check with Multivendorsupport. I was leaning in that direction with the DDF questions but please also note that some of your readings are -999 as well as other negative numbers and should not be.

I think the issue with the DCO values is DDF related but don't think the DDF is causing the -999 readings in DCE. I noticed that you have some odd voltage readings phase to phase and phase to neutral. (230V phase to phase and 0V on L3 to N) This might suggest that particular power meter is either wired incorrectly or configured incorrectly. I have come across 3 phase meters that were wired with 2 phases on the same phase and this can cause them to give odd readings from the meter, such as the -999%. You need to compare the readings on the meter directly to the readings in DCE and see if they are the same. If they are not, it is likely a DDF problem, if they are the same then it may be a meter config or wiring problem. Also the issue of DCO not seeing values from the power meters is something I have seen on Socomec Diris, Schneider PM3000 and (I think) Schneider PM700 meters too, but have had no need to get it corrected. I also came across it on Enlogic inline power meters and this was corrected by multivendorsupport changing the DDF.

...Could be that as well (mis-wiring). Looking at the DDF may help as to why it's not reading but perhaps polling the registers manually will tell as much if not more.

Hello Emre, Based on the very first screen shots I would have to say the issue is DDF related. We need to make sure that all data is available in DCE prior to worrying about DCO. Please contact the multivendor support team to correct the issues within DCE. Thank You Victor
