I'm trying to integrate Struxureware Operations 7.3.6 with Struxureware ITO client downloaded from SXW DCO 64 bit 7.3.6. As per snapshots configuration on Windows 2008 server seems to be okay as DCM on Windows 2008 is opening fine. I checked the services as well and all running okay. As the Windows 2008 is running on my laptop as VM so firewall shouldn't be an issue. I tried running sudo sed -i -e "s/^#%sudo/%sudo/g" /etc/sudoers.d/itodiscovery Just in case we can loosen the security between the two but nothing works... Any solution to this...

Hi Vineet,

Seems like the ITO server is running as you also describe. The reminder of the integration must be done from the DCO client. You can find some information regarding external system configuration and viewing data from the following links: Configuring external system integration & Viewing external system data

There are more related information to be found at the bottom of the documentation page as links.

Hopefully this clarifies otherwise please don't hesitate to get back.

/Søren

Hi I have done the configurations in SXW Ops External device configurations as well and each time I click on test with the IP address of the ITO server SXW DCO VM is not able to detect it.

Hi, and have you tried if there are network connectivity between the 2 servers. Using the console of the DCO server and then trying to ping the ITO server? And you have followed the install guide for ITO? http://dcimsupport.apc.com/display/UAOps73/Installing+IT+Optimize The port that is being used by default by ITO is 8090 and that port must be opened in the firewall if any. (Once ITO server is running it uses the following ports for discoveries: http://dcimsupport.apc.com/display/UAOps73/StruxureWare+Data+Center+IT+Optimize+firewall+and+port+re... )

Hi Finally the riddle is resolved and I have enclosed my findings in this Word document. So that all can benefit. The issue was in the way Windows 2008 server sets the Domain Firewall policy and finally all is connected fine.

Great to hear! Would it be possible for you to post your findings directly in the community as an answer. That would be great for future reference?
