Hey All,
I'm new to StruxureWare and I was hoping for some help configure StruxureWare to receive TXT alerts from other devices, like a generator?

Valentin,
I was indeed referring to Struxureware Data Center Expert. Would you know if that functionality is available with Struxureware Data Center Operations.
Also would SMS instead of txt change the answer

Hi Tomas!
I suggest that you mean Struxureware Data Center Expert.
Unfortunately DCE can't receive and parse txt messages from devices.
If I'm wrong, describe your needs more detail, please.

Hi Thomas
As far as I know, the various products in the StruxureWare suite, including DCE & DCO, don't receive TXT or SMS. Data is usually transferred from managed devices like generators via cable and standard protocols such as SNMP, modbus/RTU, modbus/TCP etc. For specialist requirements, we usually use a gateway but I've never come across a requirement to receive TXT/SMS. If you care to explain a little more about your requirement, especially geographic separation, we may be able to provide some more useful advice.
Perhaps you have a requirement that might be met using the NetBotz product range
Cheers
Ed
