Hello,
I am wondering if it possible to configure StruxureWare DCE 7.5 to have the application, web client, and command-line automatically disconnect inactive sessions. For example: someone leaves the app running in the background on their desktop for 30 minutes with no interaction. I want the client to automatically disconnect/close this inactive session to the user. So inactivity timeout is possible or not for both GUI and CLI of the application?

Dear jeff.haffener,
As far as I know, this option does not exist either for PC desktop DCE client software or for DCE web-GUI. Customers DCE CLI (Command Line Interface in the usual sense), which you mention, does not exist.
I would like to know the reasons why you need this option in DCE software? Do you have too many open inactive user sessions for the DCE server and is this a real problem for you?
In any case, you can easily do Feature requests, in order for your request to be implemented in the new version of the software DCE-8.x.
P.S.: It's very easy to google, for example, "close windows program by inactivity time" and you will find a number of Windows utilities for your purpose. For example, AutoIt v3 is a freeware BASIC-like scripting language designed for automating the Windows GUI and ge... or an excellent answer from the forum Auto-terminate a Windows application after a given amount of time...
With respect.
