Smart-UPS RC 3000 XL - New SW Version 6.1

Hello,

today we implemented new UPS inside the DCE.

The UPS systems were delivered with version 6.1 for the AOS as well as for the Application Modul.

Question: Per default there an Superuser defined with apc / apc.

This superuser can be disabled but not deleted.

What is the diference between a self-defined user with administration right and the super user?

Only that the super user cannot be deleted?

Muchas gracias para ayuda.

Sld. Frank.

Hi Frank,

K-base has the information on this. Please go to:

www.apc.com/site/support/index.cfm/faq/

And look up k-base # FA170552

Thanks,

Steve

P.S. DCE, DCO, and NetBotz questions are usually answered here on EcoStruxure IT Help Center. There is a forum page located at:

http://forums.apc.com/

Folks with more expertise with other technologies  (NMC, PDUs, ATS, etc.) would likely look at that forums page to address such questions. Not that we won't try to help here, it's just that different experts frequent that site.

Hello Steve,

muchas gracias. I found the answer.

"Refer to the information below. regarding the types of users that can be created."

  • Super User (NEW!) - The super user has full control of the NMC2. This user cannot be renamed, locked, or deleted. It can, however, be disabled.
  • Administrator - An administrator has full control of the NMC2. A super user or administrator can manage another Administrator's account (enable, disable, change password, etc).
