We've got 20-30 UPS's with NMC cards in them. Currently we use Zabbix to monitor them for power/battery issues, but I'd like to find something that would also let me do firmware updates, management configs. I've been poking around on APC's site but can't seem to find anything that does this for multiple devices on the network. They just keep pointing me towards their network shutdown software for some reason. Our "rep" said he wasn't sure they made software that was capable of doing anything like this, which I found kinda hard to believe. Anyone know if APC makes anything or a third party?
APC/Schneider Electric has EcoStruxure IT Expert, which will let you manage a fleet of UPSs that have NMCs. You can standardize the card configurations, update the card's firmware, and monitor battery life. The software requires one device - either server or workstation - to run the Gateway software. You identify the devices, and in a few minutes, they'll appear on your portal.
