Hi, we used to have a netbotz 450 which we replaced with a 755. I can't seem to find documentation on how to save video to a Windows share.
Goal: Have the camera detect motion and then save 10 seconds of motion capture video to a Windows share.
Thanks

Hi @Dave-NotThatDave ,
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this is one of the features that was not carried over from the older units to the new 700 series. The 750/755 NetBotz do not have the ability to save to a shared drive. The botz can e-mail and they can send alerts to Data Center Expert. The only workaround I can see is that if you have only the 1 755, you can set up a trial VM and alerts and surveillance can be sent to DCE.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks,
Steve.

There appears to be the ability to save to a SAMBA share? Would that be saving to Linux, or something else? I'm not familiar with SAMBA.
And if that's not an option, we can save to a local SD card, correct?
Thanks.

Hi @Dave-NotThatDave ,
No, there is no ability to save to a local SD card on the NetBotz itself. The 700 series does have an internal SD card but that should only be accessible if you take the unit apart (unsupported and voids warranty). As for the samba share, I'm unsure where you're seeing this as an option in the NetBotz.
If you're referring to the camera itself, we've never offered these options as we only support use of the camera through connection to the NetBotz itself. Making changes in the camera can cause issues (although this one would not appear to interfere with anything NetBotz related). We only officially support use through the NetBotz appliance. Please also note that the camera should probably be on the public LAN to even attempt the samba option. Again, it's not supported from the NetBotz UI so we don't fully support it so if you try an SD card or a network share and it interferes with the connectivity to the NetBotz itself, we'll ask that you reset the camera back to defaults and won't be able to troubleshoot otherwise.

You can see below that there's configuration settings for file storage and motion detection and saving to NAS or SD Card or a SAMBA share.

Hi @Dave-NotThatDave , Yes, I understand and I have seen that. and I won't answer again in the future just in case you're looking for a non-Schneider answer but I'll say again, making these changes is not supported as it is designed to work through the NetBotz 750/755. These changes are unsupported and sadly, we can't assist here.
