Dear All,
I would like to know How much network traffic occur when DCE communicate with infrastructure device such as rack PDUs, Sensors, UPS etc for 200 device in the network.

Edit: I just realized you asked about DCE. My DCE server is averaging around 17.5Mbps with peaks up to 32.5Mbps. However there are dips to 2.5Mbps, so it is all over the place.
____
My DCO server which is running and connecting 2000+ devices with DCE sits mostly at 1Mbps with really short peaks at 9-10 Mbps as I am logging in, saving, etc.
Also, I did do a scan on a PDU and you can see the answer here:
Hope that helps.

Hi emrekoca,
Sorry but we do not have this information. When an APC device alerts, it sends a trap to DCE. We may be able to get the size of this. DCE will then (again only for an APC device) poll the device. Depending on the device and number of sensors, this poll may be a few k or 10 times that. It will be different for every device. If a non-APC device sends a trap, we do not do anything with the device, we only poll on schedule.
DCE will then do what it is configured to do. This could be an e-mail, short e-mail, send it's own trap, etc. This too will always be different depending on the actions, number of actions in a profile, profile configuration, etc.
