The name of a selected object is visible in the 3D view when its selected in the desktop client.
There have been improvements to the IT Advisor 9.0.5 release web client which can display the rack name as you mouse over the device in its 3D view. This view will improve over subsequent releases.
Here is an example when my mouse is over a rack in the lower left corner.
