Hello,
I have three questions regarding the APC series of Power meters, specifically the AP7152, AP7155 and AP7175.
1) I suppose these meters show an instant consumption of the power, but do these power meters meter the aggregated power? Specifically for various periods of time: days, weeks, months etc.
2) Do these power meters have the option to turn on and off the load entirely ?
3) Do these power meters have a log option over time ? Just like an APC UPS, so we can extract data.

So at 1. They are capable of showing instant power consumption, but not added up Energy consumption since the last reset ?
Also, based on your experience, what APC product can we use in order to bill our colo clients based on power consumption as a month-to-month value ?

petru bunea, these power meters show instant power consumption (not energy) in W and kVA and show the total energy used in kWh since the last reset. I.e., this is what you want.
About your second question. It all depends on where you want to measure the months energy consumed by the client: on a separate RPDU socket, on a separate RPDU or on a separate PDM? For example, you can connect RPDU or other PDUs to the above inline power meters and then you will measure the total energy used by all these consumers.

I know they are EOL and EOS, but you can still find those in stock for some distributors. Can you please tell me if we would be able to upgrade the rpdu2g v6.4.4 firmware for the discontinued line? Or is this something tied to the hardware.

petru bunea, unfortunately this is not possible.
If you still want to use discontinued power meters, then you need to use other equipment or use any software accounting methods (knowing the voltages and consumed currents of customer equipment, that can be read from discontinued power meters) to measure the total energy used.

We did manage to log in into AP management cards from APC UPSes using PHP and cURL, do you know if we would be able to do so for discontinued power meters as well ?

Please specify the version of your UPS NMC firmware.
In general, I do not see any problems with this, since the mechanism for accessing the web GUI NMC UPS and NMC power meter (as well as for NMC rPDU) is the same.

We have various NMC firmware versions, but all have this kind of interface (see picture below). We have no problems logging in into our APC UPSes with a script we designed. However, we do have problems when trying to login into a Netbotz appliance, since the interface is almost entirely built in javascript.
My question basically was: Is the old and the new APC in-line power meter interface more like the UPS interface shown below, or is it like the APC Netbotz interface?
What we are trying to achieve here is to fetch the power reading from the devices into our system in order to be properly billed.

Yes, of course, regardless of the version of the NMC or NMC2 firmware of power meters, you will be able to read the consumed active power in W using a scripts.
Discontinued power meters have exactly this web GUI, as you have on the screenshot -- this is the web GUI of the old NMC firmware.
The new NMC2 firmware has a web GUI that is optimized for viewing on tablets and smartphones, for example, like this rPDU AP8881:
However, we do have problems when trying to login into a Netbotz appliance, since the interface is almost entirely built in javascript.
petru bunea, try using in your php-scripts snmpget requests, i.e., fully use the SNMP-protocol. It will be much simpler and more informative, since all these Schneider Electric devices have a full SNMP stack.

An important addition to my answer.
The AP7152, AP7155 and AP7175 power meters is already discontinued: recommended replacement products is AP7152B, AP7155B and AP7175B respectively.
Discontinued power meters AP7152, AP7155 and AP7175 has the current firmware is rpdu v3.9.2, and therefore this power meters does not show the total energy used in kWh. Accordingly, for your tasks this power meters is not suitable.
Therefore, it is recommended to use the AP7152B, AP7155B and AP7175B power meters, similar to the discontinued, but with the new firmware rpdu2g v6.4.4. Since the new power meters uses a new current firmware, it shows the total energy used in kWh. Here this power meters is already suitable for your tasks of accounting for customers consumed energy for a month.
