I have read the installation instruction documents but do not find any mention of the questions asked below by our virtualisation team. They are:
Does the Appliance tolerate vMotion?
Does the VM require any non-standard settings as recommended by the vendor? – E1000/VMXNet3 virtual NICs, Paravirtual SCSI controller, RDM Disks etc.

Hi Nigel,
DCE dose not require any non-standard VM settings, the standard adapter type in VM that may support CentOS 6 installation should work for DCE installation.
But concerning the vMotion feature in VM, this may not be supported for DCE. In general anything that alters the host MAC address in any way it will cause the DCE to fail and should not be used.
Kind regards

Highly recommend to set the DCE VM Mac address as static, instead of dynamically assigned by VMware.
That way, when you do vMotion, or HA, the DCE VM will be moved with its mac address intact.
You will need to set the DCE Mac address as static after loading the DCE OVA, and BEFORE turning the DCE VM on.
