Power Connections - Rack Level Changes

Hi,

  Does anyone know if its possible to connect a whole racks worth of devices to a PDU without going through and individually changing each device?

Hi Mark

If this is a once off task and the assets already exist in the rack, I believe this is not possible.

If the assets don't yet exist in the rack (or you can easily delete them if they do and re-add them)  and your genomes are properly configured, placing the assets in the rack should auto connect them if you have this option enabled.

If you have to repeat this task many times over, then I suggest investigating the powerpath API.

• Connect rack-mounted asset to a rack Pdu

Implementation Notes

A powercable will be created between the rack mount Pdu and the asset. The cable will be connected to the rack mount Pdu on the specified phase(s)

I've not tried this myself but it looks promising.
