When portal is installed on a computer, there is a new user created on that machine called postgres.
I have a request a customer for more information on the postgres user that is created when installing portal. Their security policy states that all users must be domain users, and they need to change the password once a year for all users.
Please see the screen shot below and let me know if you have run into this in the past, or is you know a way to resolve this.
Thank you,

Hi Justen,
We have not heard this request before. And it is not something that we have designed for.
However without knowing the details I would say it might be possible to configure the postgres to have this type of configuration.
In terms of the installation StrxureWare Portal is using a standard Liferay 6.1.1 GA2 version with some configuration modification (not related to postgres). The postgres installation including the user is a standard postgres installation that is bundled with the Liferay installation.
I would recommend to look more into the liferay documenation.
I have found some more info in the following pages that might be helpful

Soren, After speaking with the Liferay support they said: "There is no "installer" for Liferay so there is no postgres user getting created. I'd look to however you are "installing" liferay as that will be the source of your new user. " This leads me to believe that the installer that Schneider has created for our Portal is what is creating the user. Is there any way that we can confirm this and see what the requirements are for this user so that we can figure out how to make it a domain user? Thanks,

Comments from customer: "do we know what this postgres account is used for? If we cannot lock it down I will need the information to submit a security exception. In other words I need to understand what the reason is behind this account for senior management to approve."
