We have a situation where we do not want any alerts from DCE should the doors of a rack be left open. I assumed this would be as easy as just setting the door open alarm in the PXHID controller to disabled
This seems to work at first, since the door relock timeout alarm does not occur after 10 minutes, whereas it did occur before disabling the Door Open Alarm.
The problem is that now, at very close to midnight, DCE shows a critical alarm indicating that a Door Relock Timeout.
This of course then emails people – at midnight.
I sort of solved this by disabling the Door Relock Timeout device alert in DCE
Before disabling Door Relock Timeout
Device Alarm disabled
After disabling Door Relock Timeout
So now the alert is disabled and DCE does not send emails. However, the sensors show that the device is in a critical status because the PXHID is reporting so.
I presume the PXHID firmware has a bug in it that causes the alarm at midnight even when disabled.
So how do I resolve this? Is it a matter of waiting for new firmware to resolve this?
If that is so, then perhaps combine it with this issue too?
Thanks
