Hello,
I have a customer with several NetBotz 550 devices. There are multiple sensors that are being monitored by several pods across the data center. The customer has requested as part of their new services that we rename the sensors to match the new rack names as the customer has changed their naming convention. Does a method exist to change the names of the sensors via Config.in file edits or by editing a backup of the NetBotz 550 appliance. I was told by a colleague that a config.ini file is not present on the NetBotz 550. Is this in fact correct? If a Config.ini file does not exist can a backup be edited and then restored to make the changes without having to manually edit each sensor name and location in advanced view?

Dear Brian Meade,
From your question:
...I was told by a colleague that a config.ini file is not present on the NetBotz 550. Is this in fact correct?
Yes, it is absolutely correct.
...If a Config.ini file does not exist can a backup be edited and then restored to make the changes without having to manually edit each sensor name and location in advanced view?
Sorry to do this is absolutely impossible, and in practice it is also time-consuming process.
I can only recommend for your case to make the corresponding Feature requests, and perhaps this will be implemented.
With respect.
