Hi Team,
in DCE 7.5 we are trying to discover a Netbotz 250, and we only find it with a SNMP discover, not with Netbotz discover.
We have updated the Netbotz's firmware to the last one, From a PC in the same network we can access to the Netbotz through a web browser, so we think there are not networks problems.
Also we have the alarm "Device status may be inaccurate because an attempt to transfer a device definition file (DDF) failed", and FTP is configured properly with port 21 and user/pass.
Regards.

Hi Javier,
The NetBotz 250 is based on the technology of the network management card as is installed in a UPS etc and is not like the 3xx, 4xx, 5xx NetBotz devices monitored using http/https. K-base FA225604 also points this out.
Thanks,
Steve

Thanks Steven,
And the alarm about DDF transfering failure? We have the same alarm in a Smart-UPS RT 1500 RM XL.

Hi Javier,
Sorry I overlooked that part of the question. This too is in k-base. Take a look at k-base FA177004 as this outlines that issue.

Hi Steven Marchetti,
we have upgraded the firmware of all our Netbotz 200 and 250, and we have still the DDF Transfer Failure Alarm on these devices in DCE.
Is there anyway to fix these alarms without aknowledgment them?
Best regards

Hi Javier,
When you upgraded the firmware on the devices, did you do so through DCE or outside of it? As per the k-base, this issue is due to the DCE server being unable to download the DDF using FTP (or scp) from the device. This should use the same protocol so if one works, the other should as well. That k-base should resolve the issue. If you'vegot the right user name and password and it can reach the 250, maybe try deleting and rediscovering one again.
