NetBotz Rack Monitor 250 problem

Hi,
I have multiple system, with sensor pods.
The problem is that the NetBotz system cannot recognize all dry contact sensor.
The dry contact cables are ok.
Another problem is that the system detect faults, that are not real. For expample the system detects that there is a informal system fault, but the notification level is set to warning.

I have figured out that the system cannot handel 6 sensor per device just 5.
If I order the system in that way, than everything is ok. The problem is that we losing 1 sensor connection per device (NetBotz 250, NetBotz sensor Pod 150)

In the status wired sensor  dry contact section I can see the sensors, but in the configuration device section it doesn't show up.

I use 6.4.6 firmware, the problem is same with 6.4.4 version.
I have connected external power source to the sensor pods.
I use 2 or 4 or 6 senzor pods.

Any one has the same problem?

Hi Gabor,

Engineering is looking into an issue where false alarms have been seen. I have no update past that though.

As for the failure to recognize all dry contact sensors, I've not seen this issue. I'm assuming you've moved known good sensors and replaced them with the sensors that appear to fail to be recognized. I'm also assuming you've tested them in open and closed configurations to make sure they not only discover but actually work, correct? Please share any testing you've done. Are you able to see them all if you connect 6 dry contacts to the 250 itself? Do you have any other sensors...maybe a temp sensor? I'd be curious to know if another sensor type can be properly discovered.

I've not been able to replicate this issue myself yet but will test with the unit itself and then connected to a 150. I can't say at this point if the 2 are connected or not but I am told that these were tested with 150s filled with sensors.

Thanks,

Steve
