Is there a feature in any NetBotz to actually control the closing or opening of the dry contact cable?
I would like to set up a programmed weekly event in my DCE where a normally open set of contacts closes for 1 hour on Mondays only, and then turns back to its normally open state the rest of the time.
Additionally, I would also like to have a normally closed circuit that opens for a scheduled period of time.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to program this?

Hi Andrew,
The dry contact cable is a sensor. It is designed to sense the change in state of a relay or switch from a remote device. What you're looking for is an output relay. The rack mount NetBotz have 2 output relays standard. They can be configured to change state based on any threshold or if you choose, controlled by a button on the camera or right click on the sensor itself. The quick configuration manual here and user guide here explain the options and configuration.
If you're looking for more than 2 outputs, you will need to connect an external device. NetBotz and APC do not have such an option at this time but we do work with a 3rd party company called Sealevel. The manual and guide linked above also note this and mention the supported models as well.
Supported devices are:
• Sealevel® SeaLINK PIO-48 (adds 48 digital I/O connections)
• Sealevel SeaI/O 462U (adds 96 digital I/O connections)
• Sealevel SeaI/O 463U (adds 96 digital I/O connections)
• Sealevel SeaI/O 450U (adds 16 digital I/O connections)
K-base, linked here) also notes that newer models PIO48 have new chips that no longer work with the NetBotz code. Search for k-base FA158456 if you need more detail on thie.
